Overview
Quadratic equations are algebraic expressions of the form ax² + bx + c = 0, where a ≠ 0. These equations appear frequently in algebra, physics, and geometry problems in NDA exams.
Tips & Formulas
- Standard form: ax² + bx + c = 0
- Roots formula: x = (-b ± √(b² - 4ac)) / 2a
- Sum of roots = -b/a
- Product of roots = c/a
- If discriminant (D = b² - 4ac): D > 0 → real & distinct roots, D = 0 → real & equal roots, D < 0 → complex roots
