🎙 Introduction / परिचय
इस chapter में दो प्रकार के सवाल आते हैं –
Figure Completion (अधूरी आकृति को पूरा करना) और
Embedded Figure (किस आकृति के अंदर छुपी हुई आकृति को पहचानना)।
Delhi Police में level बहुत basic होता है – केवल observation और symmetry से सवाल बनते हैं।
1️⃣ Figure Completion / आकृति पूर्णता
Question pattern:
एक अधूरी आकृति दी होती है और 4 options में दिये गये टुकड़ों में से
सही टुकड़ा चुनना होता है जिससे पूरी आकृति बन जाए।
✔ कैसे सोचें?
- आकृति के open ends (खुले हिस्से) देखें – कौन सा टुकड़ा जोड़ने पर line पूरा होगा।
- Symmetry check करें – ऊपर–नीचे या दाएँ–बाएँ balance होना चाहिए।
- Shading / रंग का pattern – आधा काला, आधा सफेद आदि।
- Corner matching – कौन सा piece किस कोने में fit होगा।
Example (verbal description):
एक circle दिया है जिसमें बाईं half shaded है और दाईं half खाली है,
नीचे वाला हिस्सा missing है। Options में चार semi-circles हैं –
केवल वही option सही होगा जिसमें नीचे वाला semi-circle unshaded हो
ताकि पूरा pattern बन जाए (बायाँ shaded, दायाँ व नीचे unshaded)।
Answer: वही piece जो symmetry और shading match करता है।
Example:
Square की तीन sides बनी हैं (left, top, right) और bottom side missing है।
Options में अलग-अलग छोटे line pieces हैं –
सही answer वही होगा जिसमें straight horizontal line हो जो
दोनों open ends को जोड़ सके।
Answer: Horizontal line वाला piece।
2️⃣ Embedded Figures / अंतर्निहित आकृतियाँ
Question pattern:
एक बड़ी जटिल आकृति दी होती है और पूछा जाता है कि
दी गई छोटी आकृति (जैसे triangle, arrow, letter-shape)
किस option में पूरी तरह छुपी हुई है।
✔ कैसे सोचें?
- सबसे पहले छोटी आकृति पर ध्यान दें – shape, corner, angle, length याद रखें।
- बड़ी आकृति या options में उसी आकार को trace करें।
- Extra lines ignore करें – जरूरत बस यह है कि पूरी छोटी आकृति अंदर हो।
- Rotation allow होता है – छोटी आकृति घुमाई हुई orientation में भी हो सकती है।
Example (verbal):
Small figure: right-angled triangle.
Options: चार complex diagrams हैं।
जिस diagram में बिल्कुल वैसा ही right-angle triangle
किसी कोने पर या बीच में दिख रहा हो (चाहे rotate हो) वही correct embedded figure है।
Example:
Small figure: letter-like “L” shape.
जिस option में line segments मिलकर वही “L” बनाते हों
(भले आसपास और भी lines हों) – वही सही answer होगा।

Ans: जहां perfect plus shape छुपा हो।

Figure completion: rectangle की left vertical side missing है।
Options में एक straight vertical line है और बाकी तीन curved या slant हैं।
सही कौन सा?
Ans: straight vertical line वाला piece।

Embedded: small shape arrow (→).
Options में किसी diagram में lines मिलकर arrow बनाते हैं
(एक side extra line के साथ) – क्या वह valid है?
Ans: हाँ, embedded figure हो सकता है, जब तक पूरा arrow clearly दिखता हो।

Figure completion: semi-circle ऊपर है, नीचे का straight diameter missing है।
कौन सा piece?
Ans: straight horizontal line वाला piece जो ends join करे।

Embedded: small square.
एक option में बड़ा square है जिसके अंदर grid है।
क्या small square embedded है?
Ans: हाँ, grid के किसी cell में वही square आकार मौजूद है।

Figure completion: pattern के left half में 3 parallel lines हैं, right half missing.
सही piece कैसा होगा?
Ans: mirror image type 3 parallel lines right side पर।

Embedded: small zig-zag line /\/\/.
किस option में यह आकृति छुपी हो सकती है?
Ans: जिस option में लगातार तीन connected slant lines /\\/\\ रूप में मिलें।
🔥 Challenge Question
एक square को चार बराबर भागों में divide किया गया है (2×2 grid)।
Small figure एक “L” shape है जो तीन छोटे squares को cover करता है।
किस option में यह “L” shape embedded रहेगा?
Hint: जिस option में तीन जुड़े हुए squares “L” pattern बनाते हों
(दो horizontally + एक vertically नीचे/ऊपर)।
Answer: वही diagram जहाँ 3 adjacent cells L-shape में हों।
