Direction Sense में व्यक्ति की चाल (movement) और दिशा (East, West, North, South) के आधार पर final position और distance पता करना होता है।

Example 1:
A walks 5 km North, then 3 km East. How far is A from starting point?

Right angle triangle → √(5² + 3²) = √34 = 5.8 km approx
Example 2:
A walks 4 km South, then 4 km West. Direction from start? → South-West direction Distance = √(4²+4²)= 5.6 km
Example 3:
A walks 10 km East, then 10 km North, then 10 km West. Final position? → 10 km North of starting point Distance = 10 km
Example 4:
A walks 6 km North, then 2 km South. Final distance from start = 6−2 = 4 km North
