Ratio compares quantities. Most SSC GD questions ask to divide an amount in a given ratio or to convert ratio to fraction.
अनुपात दो राशियों की तुलना है। SSC GD में अक्सर कुल राशि को ratio में बाँटना, या ratio को fraction में बदलना पूछा जाता है।

If A:B = m:n ⇒ A = km, B = kn (k common factor).
Share of A in total T with ratio m:n ⇒ A = T×m/(m+n).
If a/b = c/d ⇒ a×d = b×c (cross-multiplication).
