Definition:

English: Average is the sum of quantities divided by the number of quantities.

Hindi: औसत = कुल मानों का योग / मानों की संख्या

Example:

English: If the marks obtained by 5 students are 60, 70, 80, 90, and 100, then the average is:

Hindi: यदि 5 छात्रों के अंक 60, 70, 80, 90 और 100 हैं, तो औसत होगा:

Average = (60+70+80+90+100)/5 = 400/5 = 80

Hint: Total before = 450, After = 396, Excluded = 54

Q3: Average of 7 consecutive odd numbers is 35. Find the smallest number.
Q3 (Hindi): 7 लगातार विषम संख्याओं का औसत 35 है। सबसे छोटी संख्या ज्ञात करें।
Hint: Middle term = 35, So smallest = 35 - 6 = 29

Q4: A batsman has an average of 50 runs in 10 innings. If his highest score 120 is removed, what is his new average?
Q4 (Hindi): एक बल्लेबाज की 10 पारियों में औसत 50 रन है। यदि उसका उच्चतम स्कोर 120 हटा दिया जाए, तो नया औसत क्या होगा?
Hint: Total = 500, New total = 380, New average = 42.22

Q5: The average of 6 numbers is 25. The average of first 3 numbers is 20 and last 3 is 30. Find the middle number.
Q5 (Hindi): 6 संख्याओं का औसत 25 है। पहली 3 का औसत 20 और अंतिम 3 का औसत 30 है। मध्य संख्या ज्ञात करें।
Hint: Total = 150, First 3 = 60, Last 3 = 90, Overlap = Middle number = 0
